Letter From the Dean 

“Knowledge – Skills - Experience”

Dear Fellow Scouters,

Welcome to the 23rd annual Lord Baden Powell University of Scouting. As we approach another successful year of advance supplemental training for our leaders, we are faced with many challenges such as diversity, membership, and finance. LBPU takes the lead in guiding and providing Knowledge – Skills - Experience to all leaders in meeting these challenges.

Our theme for LBPU 2012; “Knowledge – Skills – Experience” is based on the tools required to supply a quality program to quality youth, so many ways that it can be phrased and yet it still rings out the primary reasons we volunteer for such a great program, youth leadership development.

Mark your calendar for March 16-18, 2012. It is my wish, and that of the steering committee, that you make a serious review of your personal training needs in your council, district, and unit role, and let LBPU serve you.

Our goal is to provide you the finest training experience offered in the Scouting program and we look forward to seeing you there in March.
